Jeremy Donner, ATC

Head Athletic Trainer

Jeremy completed his bachelor’s degree in athletic training at North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D. He has been the Head Athletic Trainer for the NSC Minnesota Stars since 2010 and plays a key role in keeping the Stars fit on a day-to-day basis including injury evaluation and rehabilitation.

Jeremy has been a certified athletic trainer with the Institute for Athletic Medicine since 2006 and has been the athletic trainer for local Coon Rapids and Eagan high schools. Jeremy currently also works in the Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care clinic in Eden Prairie with team physician Dr Jamie Peters. He is an instructor for the Institute for Athletic Medicine’s special program, Next Step, a sports rehabilitation program that bridges the gap between in-clinic sports injury rehabilitation and return to high-intensity sport activities. With a strong interest and background in sports and athletic rehabilitation Jeremy focuses on high-level athletes and sports-related injuries.

Jeremy’s personal interests include running, basketball, and time with family and friends.

Dr. Samuel Bugbee, MD, CAQ

Samuel Bugbee, M.D., CAQ, a non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine physician, is the official doctor of the NSC Minnesota Stars. With his knowledge of muscle, bone and joint conditions, Dr. Bugbee’s goal is to help patients of all ages achieve maximum performance while preventing injury and to help injured patients return to sports and regular daily activities as quickly as possible.

Dr. Bugbee earned his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., and attended medical school at the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn., and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, where he was a team physician for the football and basketball teams.

In his free time, Dr. Bugbee enjoys spending time with his family, basketball, travel, hiking and running.

Team Doctor

Jamie Peters, M.D., CAQ, is a non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine physician who sees patients of all ages. He provides care for a broad spectrum of muscle, bone and joint conditions with the goal to maximize performance, prevent injury and return individuals to sports and daily life activities as quickly as possible. In addition to patient care, Dr. Peters serves as Medical Director – Service Line Strategy for Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care, is the team physician for the Minnesota Stars professional soccer team and the co-director and founder of the Twin Cities Sports Medicine Conference.
