Sanneh Foundation
The NSC Minnesota Stars and The Sanneh Foundation have teamed up for the 2011 season and beyond to provide opportunities for Twin Cities area children to experience soccer in a positive environment and to assist the Foundation—founded in 2003 by US World Cup veteran and St. Paul native Tony Sanneh—in its various initiatives. The Stars will co-sponsor several Foundation initiatives to benefit underserved youth from around the Twin Cities.
The Stars’ support of The Sanneh Foundation’s efforts to reach out to children begins immediately with a season-long effort to collect ticket donations for the foundation. Fans and corporations can purchase season tickets to donate to The Sanneh Foundation, which will distribute them to children and adult chaperones to attend Stars matches throughout the season. Youth season tickets are just $75, and the donation of one season ticket can send 14 children to a professional soccer match.
The Sanneh Foundation salutes and supports established community-based organizations that are working to improve the quality of life in urban communities. Due to government cut backs in funding for urban programs, it’s vital for private sector, new and existing foundations, churches and concerned individuals to step in and fill the void. The cycle in urban communities of desperation and poverty calls for our continued vigilance in overcoming the hopelessness that can destabilize a community.
Player Appearances
NSC Minnesota Stars players will be made available for appearances based on their availability during the season (April – October). All requests for Minnesota Stars players must be made via the Player Appearance Request Form (PDF) at least 14 days in advance of the appearance date. The Stars will review all requests but cannot guarantee an appearance due to travel requirements. Please fill the form out in its entirety and either fax it to (763) 792-3993 or email it to appearances@nscminnesota.com.
Player appearances at corporate events are billed at $50 per hour, per player when arranged at least 14 days in advance. Requests made less than 14 days in advance cannot be guaranteed and will be billed at $100 per hour, per player.
Player appearances for certified non-profit groups are free when arranged at least 14 days in advance of the event. Requests made less than 14 days in advance cannot be guaranteed and are billed at $50 per hour, per player. When submitting this request, please include a copy of your organization’s 501(c)3 certification or other form demonstrating a tax-exempt status.
Donation Requests
The NSC Minnesota Stars will review all requests for donations. At club discretion, NSC Minnesota will donate game tickets for fundraisers for non-profit organizations that submit the Donation Request Form (PDF) at least one month prior to the event.
